has been working in the adventure guiding industry as
a guide, instructor, trainer, manager and
consultant for the past thirty years.
What
drives Chris is his passion for delivering
exceptional experiences. Chris has delivered
adventures to thousands of guests while guiding
hiking and biking, teaching canoeing and skiing.
He has also trained hundreds of guides and
instructors in leadership, risk management, relationship
building, customer service and experience
delivery.

Experience |

Thirty years
in the ski teaching industry. Former Assistant Ski
School Director at Big White.

Twenty years of guiding canoeing, kayaking and hiking.
During that time has worked as a manager, lead guide
and trainer.

Training canoe guides since 2002. To date he has
trained over seven hundred guides and coaches in the
Whistler valley.

Serving on the Board of Directors for the Association
of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG) and the
Recreational Canoeing Association of BC (RCABC) since
2017. Also Chair the ACMG Stewardship and Access
Committee and serve on the Recreational and Leisure
Advisory Committee for the Municipality of Whistler. |

Accomplishments |

Recently designed the Managing Risk on Snow Program
for the Whistler Blackcomb Snow School. This is a risk
management and decision making training program for
ski and snowboard instructors. This program trained
one hundred instructors in the first season.

Recently developed a stewardship best practices
document for the Association of Canadian Mountain
Guides. This document consists of twelve principles
for guides to follow so that they can promote
stewardship and practice responsible backcountry
travel.

Designed the curriculum for the Day Guide Canoeing
certification for the Recreational Canoeing
Association of BC.
